Beer Marinated Chicken Wings

Beer Marinated Chicken Wings-2

One of the best things about summer is the ability to put your grill to good use! Living in the northeast, the grill gets retired for a portion of the year so we really take advantage when the opportunity arises! These wings are a perfect thing for a grill night. The marinade makes the wings moist and flavorful and a great addition for any BBQ! I used Bud Light Lime for this as it added a little extra lime flavor, I would recommend a light beer like that, a Corona works too.

Ingredients:

8-10 chicken drumsticks

1/4 cup olive oil

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon cumin

1 teaspoon chili powder

Salt and pepper

3 cloves garlic, chopped

2 tablespoons lime juice

1 cup beer

Instructions:

1) Rinse and pat dry the chicken and set aside.

2) In a large ziplock bag, mix together all the marinade ingredients together and add the chicken. Seal the bag and massage the marinade into the drumsticks.

3) Let the chicken marinate for a few hours or overnight then place them on a medium grill until done. The chicken should be 170 degrees and the juices should run clear.
