This week the Miami Dolphins suspended guard Richie Incognito indefinitely, although most believe that he will never play for the Dolphins again. Incognito was the ringleader of a harassment barrage against fellow teammate, Jonathan Martin, which resulted in Martin leaving the team in the middle of the season. This suspension was an act that was a long time coming and is something that Incognito fully deserves. [Read more…]
I had to make a Target run yesterday. I don’t know about everyone else but I make a list of exactly what I’m going there for and how much money I can spend because I can NEVER go to Target and leave with just what I came for. So I had my list: [Read more…]
This installment I’m talking about House of Rose. If you are not familiar with Mandy Rose, I suggest heading over to her site. She has been blogging for a few years now so she offers great tips for beginners. She also runs another site with her husband, also a blogger, dedicated to how much income they make blogging and the resources they use. Mandy is an open book of knowledge and can really help you get to your final vision of your blog.
Wednesday night It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia celebrated a television milestone and hit 100 episodes! I have been a huge fan of this show from the beginning and am happy that it’s getting the love it deserves. In honor of this big achievement (it only took nine seasons!), I’m counting down my top ten favorite episodes of the show.
I got my first mention on another blog! FabulousBlogging.com does a great feature on First Year Bloggers where people can write about starting their blog and any helpful tips that they have for other new bloggers. I’m so happy to be posted and I want to thank Julie over at Fabulous Blogging for putting me up there! Here’s the link to see for yourself!
Today is the 20th anniversary that Boy Meets World premiered on ABC. I was eight years old when Cory Matthews and his lessons about life were introduced to me and I have to say that I wish more shows were like this. Maybe it was because I was a total ’90’s kid and I’m just really reminiscing about my childhood but I was a huge fan of this show. Especially now looking at the shows of today and what our children are watching. I can’t imagine I will ever see Danielle Fishel twerking on a man twice her age. I sound like a cranky old lady whenever I talk about the shows geared toward teens today (“When I was your age we had real television!”-that is a phrase I have actually uttered to my cousin on occasion), but seriously, I do wish there were more shows like this geared toward the younger generation. The show always brings up a furor of bright-eyed excitement whenever it is mentioned to people my age. Considering it was never a huge ratings plug or an award show dominating powerhouse, it was still one of the most beloved shows of the 1990’s.
We all have those moments as mothers. Those moments that make us look at the clock and wonder “Is drinking at 10 am really a bad thing?” Cloudy, with a Chance of Wine answers that age old question with some absolutely hysterical stories. Dani is a stay-at-home mom and by the tales she tells…..well I would be drunk way before her. Do you want to hear some priceless mom moments or hear about why you don’t sit on public toilets, then this is your motherland. Come home, have a drink and don’t feel so bad because we are all doing the same thing and probably worse than you!
Seriously though, if you don’t pop over and check this site out you are missing out! She’s great!

So I finally go to watch the season premiere of Sons of Anarchy last night and thanks to some blabbing on Facebook (Side note: don’t be that guy who puts spoilers all over the internet without warning when an episode ends. You make more enemies than friends.) I already had a gist of what was going to happen. Stop reading now if you have not watched the season six premiere of SOA.
I’ll admit it. I had no idea who Ree Drummond was until I was channel surfing one Saturday morning and saw a show on The Food Network called The Pioneer Woman. I was hooked pretty quickly. She was so real and was making food that people without a Masters in Iron Chef could easy do in the kitchen. After the show I went online and looked up her site and I was hooked ever since.
Since she has been blogging for a few years now, her site has grown into quite a large place now but she still writes like she did in the beginning. Her husband, Marlboro Man, also pops on and talks about life on the ranch and how to care for the animals.

Ree has done what most bloggers dream about, becoming successful by being herself!

Are you a fan of Zooey Deschanel? I know I am. New Girl is one of my favorite shows on TV and one of the few that I watch live and not on my DVR later. Well, Zooey has a fantastically fun website called Hello Giggles!
While technically this isn’t really a blog, it still gets major points. This website has a little bit of everything; thought provoking articles, funny videos, beauty tips. I highly recommend the article “Everything I Need to Know I Learned from The Simpsons“. There is a lot of Simpson love on this site, which may make me a bit bias. There will be a blog post in the near future about how much that show has influenced my life, friendships and sense of humor, but I digress.
Go to this website when you have time to waste because you will sucked in and it will be hard to pull yourself away from the awesomeness that is Zooey Deschanel on the internet!
