One of my husbands favorite things to eat is stuffing. He isn’t super picky but he’s always had a soft spot for the boxed Stove Top kind and he bought a whole bunch at BJ’s so it would last for awhile. One night I was going through the pantry and saw the bag and decided to try something new instead of the regular way. My husband got home from work, made himself a plate and immediately went for seconds! My favorite part of this recipe is that is already involves a lot of staples that people have in their home, which makes it an easy choice for a dinner, especially since the prep work is so low it barely feels like cooking.
Ingredients:
1 box of chicken flavored stuffing, find some here
1 can Cream of Chicken soup
1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breast
1/4 cup milk
6 tablespoons butter, melted
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions:
1) Preheat oven to 350 degrees and cover bottom of baking dish with chicken.
2) Cover the top of chicken with the cheddar.
3) Mix the soup and milk together and spread over the top. Pour the stuffing over everything and drizzle the melted butter all over it.
4) Bake for 60 minutes. The top will appear very dry but once it’s mixed in with the soup, it will be as tender as usual.
