Who doesn’t love ribs? There is a place by me in Connecticut that’s amazing! I love their BBQ but sometimes you want to make something at home or don’t feel like eating out. It took me awhile to make ribs at home, for a long time I just couldn’t get them right. They would be greasy or stringy and just…..well they just weren’t good. So I thought about it and realized I was making things way too complicated. I was adding too many ingredients and just stressing too much about it. This method is so simple but it makes ribs that are so delicious! I used Yuengling BBQ sauce which is amazing on it’s own and just let them do their thing in the crockpot. The results were perfection!
Ingredients:
2 cups BBQ sauce (see here)
1/4 cup brown sugar
3 tablespoons Apple Cider vinegar
2 tablespoons Worcestershire
1 tablespoon chili powder
3 lbs baby back ribs
Instructions:
1) Combine everything except the ribs into a bowl and whisk well.
2) Pat down the ribs and cut in half to fit into the crockpot. Place one half on the bottom, pour half the sauce over. Add the other half of ribs and pour the remaining sauce over them.
3) Cover and cook on high for 4.5 hours, on low for 8 hours. Remove and let sit for a few minutes before slicing.
