Thanksgiving is a few months away still but it’s always good to learn new recipes for the day ahead of time. If you are new to cooking, you want to ease yourself into the turkey but start tackling the sides. Cranberry sauce is a great one to start with and Homemade Cranberry Sauce is a great beginner recipe. There is a big debate between canned and homemade cranberry sauce but if you want to try making your own or you are on the side that homemade is a holiday staple, then you should defiantly try this recipe! Ingredients:
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1/2 orange juice
12 oz fresh cranberries
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions:
1) In medium saucepan, bring sugar, water and orange juice to a boil.
2) Add cranberries and cinnamon. Bring to a simmer and cook. Stir occasionally for 15 minutes while the berries burst and the sauce thickens.
3) Remove from heat and cool completely before serving.
