Here are my top movies to watch during the holiday season!
10) A Christmas Story (1983)
This comedy had a few great holidays tips; don’t stick your tongue to a frozen pole, keep your door locked or the neighborhood dogs will get in, if your mother tells you that you’ll shoot your eye out then she may be right and there is always a chinese food place open on Christmas. You also learned the “Italian” pronunciation of Fragile and that a broken lamp with cause your father and mother to fight about glue. Continue reading
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! I’m guessing that you are like me and either all turkeyed out or almost there so I wanted to post a non-Thanksgiving recipe like meatloaf. I love making meatloaf this way. It’s individually portioned so there is no giant loaf to deal with. I use ramekins instead of a pan and it makes great and easy dishes right out of the oven. I know that I have been MIA lately. I’ve been super busy with travel, work and just being exhausted from being pregnant. But I am back and have a few new posts in the works so stay tuned.
This “Blogs I Love” segment is about Budget Savvy Diva. She is fabulous at finding amazing deals and free goodies. Thanks to her I have received a free Snapple iced tea K-cup sampler for my Keurig, a free magazine subscription, a great deal on a Christmas present for my son and a coupon for Buy 2 Get 2 Free at Yankee Candle. She is a genius and if you follow her on social media you will get constant updates about new deals coming up. She is also a cook and comes up with great recipes on her site too. Bottom line, if you are looking to save money (who isn’t), go see the diva.

I recently got a bag of apples and needed something to do with them since I knew we wouldn’t eat all of them before they went bad so I decided to make some applesauce. I used some Connecticut grown Cortland apples which gave the sauce a very apple cider like taste, which was fantastic!
This week the Miami Dolphins suspended guard Richie Incognito indefinitely, although most believe that he will never play for the Dolphins again. Incognito was the ringleader of a harassment barrage against fellow teammate, Jonathan Martin, which resulted in Martin leaving the team in the middle of the season. This suspension was an act that was a long time coming and is something that Incognito fully deserves. Continue reading
A list for all of us who have a toddler now or had one at one time.
1) Peace and Quiet is NOT a Good Thing
Before children you used to relish a quiet house, now if it’s quiet longer than a few seconds you have to investigate to make sure your child is still alive and not doing something stupid. Continue reading
I have been making these for awhile and they are so delicious and saucy! A perfect weekend dinner. Continue reading
I had to make a Target run yesterday. I don’t know about everyone else but I make a list of exactly what I’m going there for and how much money I can spend because I can NEVER go to Target and leave with just what I came for. So I had my list: Continue reading
