Ever since I was a kid, kielbasa has been a part of my diet. My mother used to make regularly and I’ve continued to use it. My Spicy Kielbasa Pasta is a huge hit but sometimes I just want to make it different. This pasta has a creamy garlic cheese sauce that mingles well with the kielbasa. This is a great weeknight option that will make everyone happy. [Read more…]
I have a special guest post today about an important piece of legislation. Slavery is a problem that is still going on in society today. Women and children are it’s biggest victims. This is a cause that I have been following since college and I am in full support of this organization and what they are trying to accomplish. Please read the post below from Kenny Jahng from The Freedom Challenge and check out their site to get more information: [Read more…]
I love caesar salad! It’s one of my most favorite things in the world. I love the tangy dressing, the croutons and just the overall flavor. Lets be honest, this is a salad that can make you love salad. This version is delicious because it takes crisp asparagus and tops it with some caesar goodness! This is a great side dish option or even as a meal itself! I went simple with this but you can absolutely top with some shredded parmesan for a little extra kick!
But if you love Caesar and want to get out of the rut, this is a way to liven it up!
I have a guest post today from someone very special……my sister! She made this amazing recipe and wanted to share it. She’s a big traveler and tries to eat as healthy as she can when she’s between trips. Check out her awesome recipe for Chicken Fried Cauliflower Rice! Her recipe calls for fresh cauliflower but if you want to cut down on some time, I included a link to get already prepared cauliflower rice. [Read more…]
Growing on the shoreline of Connecticut meant a lot of things but one of my favorite things is having access to really great seafood! When I was a kid, I didn’t eat a lot of seafood but as I’ve grown I’ve learned to appreciate it more and more. I know fish tacos are a California speciality for the most part but if you’re like me and can’t hop a plane at will, this recipe is a great option. The fish gets nice and crispy and the sauce gives it an awesome pop of tang! [Read more…]
Apples and bananas go together so well. These muffins make a great use of both! They are moist and crisp at the same time thanks to the apple. They are also super easy to make! A great way to use those ripe bananas and makes your house smell amazing! These are also kid friendly. My four year old loved making these as much as they loved eating them. My “egg cracker” had a great time helping to put these together and loved doing the final touch of placing the apples on top! [Read more…]
I love sandwiches! There is something so satisfying about an awesome sandwich. It can be whatever you want it to be. Full of meat and cheese or brimming with veggies that taste amazing. A Monte Cristo is a pretty decadent sandwich. Full of meat, cheese and then dipped in a batter and fried……this isn’t a quick snack, this is a meal. I loved this at first bite. [Read more…]

I make no lie about how much I love cheese. It’s just such a wonderful thing. My favorite foods involve melty, yummy cheese. Grilled cheese, pizza…well you get the idea. This recipe came out so delicious, the pasta was nice and tender and the skillet had everything come together perfectly! [Read more…]
Oh this cake. I have this bundt cake pan that I feel like I just don’t use enough so I wanted to make an awesome, delicious cake that had a glaze that soaks into it. This cake was amazing! The actual cake was good on it’s own but the caramel glaze pushed it over the top! It gave it a sweet moist undertone. This is a must try! The most important thing about making a bundt cake is that you need to make sure the pan is well greased and you need to make sure the cake is completely cooled off before removing it. That’s important, otherwise your cake will be all crumbly and it just won’t look good. [Read more…]
